Idara Phillips, MSA, BBA

Idara Phillips-Ortiz, Owner of ZIP Business Services, holds a Master of Accounting from St. Mary’s College of California and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The National Hispanic University.  Idara is a Licensed Tax Preparer, and Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

 Idara has over 20 years hands on experience working in accounting, auditing, tax and business consulting.  Her experience includes a broad range of industries including as: Government, manufacturing,  news and media, advertising, retail, restaurants, service based businesses and non-profits. After her work as a government Tax Auditor, Idara went into private practice and established her accounting firm.  

As a fellow small business owner, Idara understands the challenges a small business owner face daily and prides herself in being able to help navigate business to the next level of success

When she is not in a spreadsheet crunching numbers you can find Idara cooking or playing with her children ages 5-18.  She loves animals and nature and has had almost every pet you can imagine.  She most recently took up gardening. She brags that last year her tomatoes touched the awaning of her roof.  Fun fact this business is named after Idara and her children who's names all begin withthe letter Z. Now that we are all sheltering in place, dont be surprised if you hear a squeky kindergartner in the background as you talk to her.
